Mini Camp Application Form and Information
Branch AGM and Parents/Members Evening
Friday 17th March 2023 at 7pm at Llandyrnog Village Hall.
Parents/Members Evening, AGM, and Awards for Members that represented the Branch at Area Competitions in 2022.
An evening to meet up with other members and meet the DC, secretary and treasurer.
Fun social evening, refreshments provided.
GUEST SPEAKER: Sara Johnson from the Horse Education Company, an indie horse goods maker with a focus on horse-centric, evergreen purpose and bespoke style.
Show Jumping Competitions at Hafod, Trefnant
Hafod Arena are running a Show Jumping Competition on Sunday 2nd April. Open to ALL.
Flint & Denbigh Pony Club will run a Show Jumping Competition to raise money for the Branch on Sunday 16th April.
Area Horse and Pony Care
Congratulations to our mini team of Erin, Amber and Ffion who won and have qualified for the Pony Club Championship.
Well done also to the junior team who came 5th – Catherine, Seren and Evie.
First Aid Courses
East Cheshire Branch have arranged a number of Emergency First Aid at Work courses for East Cheshire Volunteers, Helpers, Instructors etc. and may be able to open some of these to neighbouring branches.
The dates / venues are:
- Friday, 24th March at Byley Village Hall – 2pm – 8pm, CW10 9NG
- Saturday, 1st April at Swallows Nest, Somerford – 10 am – 4pm, CW12 4QD
- Friday, 14th April at Byley Village Hall – 2pm – 8pm, CW10 9NG
The cost is £50 per person which compares very favourably with commercially provided courses which vary between £95 and £210 per person incl. VAT.

New Booking System
It has been a few weeks now since we introduced our new booking system. We thank you for your patience during the setup and testing process.
Most issues have been relatively straightforward to resolve. We are still working on the function to move a booking from one event to another in the instance of forced nonattendance due to Covid or other illness.
There have been some rumblings around the repetitive nature of booking events with the need to input details each time. This can be resolved by creating an account in Entry Master, logging Parent’s details and Members’ details along with their Pony Club Membership number. Don’t forget to add the horse and pony details along with passport details too if inclined as this function will allow auto-checking in larger events in the future. Adding these details (setting up your account) allows us to better support you by allowing us to add late entries after the closing date.
- Profiles – if you set up your details, riders and ponies, future entries will self populate.
- Enter Events – does what it says on the tin! Use the arrows on the right hand side of the screen to expand/collapse the selection information as required.
- Entry History – did I enter for the next working rally? You can check now.
- Transactions – confirmation that your payment has gone through.
- Payments – will now go through Stripe and not PayPal.
The same reduction in repetitive keystrokes can be achieved when paying for an event in Stripe by creating an account and logging your details rather than checking out as a guest (which over 50% of transactions are).
