TETRATHLON
Once again, Meg’s Tetters achieved great things at the Qualifying Triathlon in Mold March 12th hosted by the Area 5 Tet Committee.
We had 14 Triathlon FnD members and 4 Biathlon competing.
Although it was not a cold day, the runners had a tough time coping with the mud and snow on the fields. Consequently, run times were down.
There were 29 Teams competing (134 Individuals), mostly from Area 5 but there were teams who had travelled from The Bedale, The Ryburn, West Lancs, Peak and North Shropshire.
One of the FLINT and DENBIGH Teams came 2nd beating the 3rd placed East Cheshire Team by just 69 points. Every second running and every metre swimming is important. This 2nd placed team was:-
Orla Kissane, Lleucu Newton, Ella North and Harriet Goodall.
Individual achievements were:-
- ORLA won the Junior Girls with the top run.
- HARRIET 6th in the Jun Girls with an amazing top swim of 9 lengths in 3 minutes!
- HELEN shot an excellent 920 in the Junior Girls.
- ELLA did very well to come 2nd in the Mini Girls with a top shoot of 920 beating the 3rd placed person by just 39 points overall.
- SEREN was 4th in the Tadpole Girls and Catrin 6th in a strong class.
- EOS won the Beanie Girls, Megan was 3rd and Alys was 4th.
Ella, Orla and Leah qualified to go to the Triathlon Championships in Stoke on the 26th.
We hope they have a great time there representing FnD.
