Clearing away after rallies/training

Please remember that it is courtesy to help clear away equipment at the end of training/rallies. Many hands make light work!

It’s not very fair for the trainers or organisers to have to do it after being coaching for 3 to 4 hours.

Area 5 Dressage

The Area 5 spring festival dressage qualifier was held at Northop on 15th January. Isobel Miller finished 3rd in the novice test and qualified for the spring Festival. Isobel also finished 2nd in the Prelim 7 warm up test and finished 8th in the Novice test on her second ride. In the second warm up test Amber Bellis won and Summer Bellis was 2nd.

We had 3 members in the Intermediate qualifier: Summer Bellis, Isabelle Grice and Seren Griffiths. Summer finished 5th just out of the qualifying spot, and Isabelle Grice 6th.

The final competition was the Open and Amber Bellis rode a lovely test, her first at this level, to finish 2nd and qualifying for the Spring Festival.

The day finished with a great result for the Flint & Denbigh Team finishing 2nd overall.

AREA 5 TRIATHLON held in MOLD Jan 22nd 2023

There was a large turnout for this competition—145 competitors from all over Area 5 and some branches out of Area too. There were 34 Teams forward.

  • Flint & Denbigh entered five teams and  Team “Denbigh” came 2nd. The Team was: ORLA KISSANE who was outstanding and won the Junior Girls class; LLEUCU NEWTON who had an amazing shoot of 920 and came 6th; HELEN JONES (8th) and ESYLLT DAFYDD(10th).  This was a brilliant achievement.
  • Team “Flint” (a much younger team) came 10th. This team was: Elliw Dafydd (4th), Seren Walsh (7th), Macsen Newton (9th) and Casper Kissane (3rd). Macsen and Casper shot their best ever because they really tried to concentrate!
  • Ella North came 7th in the Mini Girls and is very promising.
  • Seren Walsh, Zoe James and Catrin Morgan took 6th, 7th and 9th places in the Tadpole class.
  • Megan Evans, Eos Newton, Alys Evans and Eiri Edwards took 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th places respectively in the Bean Bag Girls.
  • Flint & Denbigh also had 6 young members forward in the Bean Bag Biathlon—the Tetrathletes of the future.
  • Everyone did their very best and can be very proud of themselves.

NEXT Triathlon is in Mold February 19th.
