What’s on this month

Events close 2 full days before the event. If the event is on a Saturday, the booking will close at midnight on the preceding Wednesday! That is 2 days before the event and gives everyone plenty of time! It also gives the event organiser time to try to book extra instructors or cancel the event if under-subscribed!

Change of date: the Mountain Ride is now on Sunday 26th September.

Junior Rallies

Just a quick note for all members who attend the junior rallies. Please could you all let Mari know if you want to attend by sending her a message before paying online. She sends the groups out on a Monday night before the rally and as long as she has your name before then she can accommodate everyone. It’s really hard to rearrange groups during the week at the last minute. It’s great for Mari and members if everyone can all join in and she doesn’t have to turn people away.

Tests

Would any more members like to book for tests at Half Term? Iona needs names/numbers to arrange the training please (secretary@fndponyclub.org.uk).

Dress for competitions

CPD for instructors and coaches

Many Coaches now need to renew their CPD and there is an upcoming opportunity in Area 5:

“Learning through Fun for the under 10s” – Hafod Equestrian Centre, Trefnant, Denbigh LL16 4UN on Friday 22nd October at 6.30pm. £12. Bring a chair.

Our members seem to be getting younger every year as is the average age so we need to cater for their specific needs. Just because they are young does not mean they are easy to coach, far from it. The evening will emphasise the need for fun and will be delivered by two coaches who work with young children in their “Day Job”. Contact Meg on area5@pcuk.org.

Winter League Show Jumping – Dwyfor and Dolgellau – Results

Meeting of Minds Tour 2021: “Better Humans, Better Horses”

Meeting of Minds is a live demonstration exploring the fascinating psychology of humans and horses; where Jason Webb’s principles of training horses meets Charlie Unwin’s principles of human performance. The goal is to develop an effective and enduring partnership in which we learn how to get the best from ourselves and our horse – in competition or at home.

Capitalising on Charlie Unwin’s wealth of experience in human psychology and Jason Webb’s deep understanding of horse psychology, they will be using horses, science, experience and intuition in the demonstrations to give you tools and techniques that they use within their respective fields.

There are 7 dates venues round the UK, including REASEHEATH COLLEGE, Reaseheath, Nantwich CW5 6DF at 7pm on 3rd November.
