Pony Club Camp

I hope that you have all recovered from our annual camp.

Thank you to all that helped to make it another great experience for the 66 members from the age of 3 years up to 15, who attended.

We had a mixture of weather- wind, rain and sunshine. However all rides went ahead and we dodged the downpour on Sunday morning by having an earlier session of horse and pony care.

Rosemary had made a timetable to ensure everyone was able to experience all disciplines of riding: flat work, show jumping, games, cross country, river ride, etc. Nick Gauntlet came along on the Tuesday to coach the older members. He was exceptionally good and all the riders were jumping very difficult and technical lines. Hopefully we will be able to invite him again next year.

Evening entertainment was organised by Lois Roberts, Ben Read & Catrin Evans. Plenty of fun was had by all. The visit to the Hunt Kennels was very interesting and Jeremy was asked plenty of interesting questions.

Camp is all about having fun time with your pony and friends, learning about looking after your pony and also experiencing new skills.

I hope that you all enjoy the rest of your summer break and look forward to seeing you all soon.
