Another successful weekend

Flint & Denbigh Hunt Branch have had another successful weekend at an Area Competition: the Novice dressage team came 3rd, and Emily MacParland was 2nd individually in her arena. The Open dressage team were 2nd and Laura Cocking was 2nd in her arena. The Open team will be going to Champs yet again. The Intermediate team won and will also be joining the open team at the Champs. Libby Edwards was 1st in her section and Laura Cocking 5th. Abi Cocking has also qualified for the Novice Championships.

Congratulations to all the members that were placed and good luck for the Championships.

Areas 4 & 5 Horse Trials – Results

TheAreas 4 & 5 Horse Trials results from the weekend’s competition can be found on the Area 5 website: http://branches.pcuk.org/area5/

Congratulations to Ben Read who has qualified for the Open Horse Trials competition: he was 2nd in the Open section and a member of a mixed area 5 team that won the open class. Congratulations also to Abi Cocking and Emily Vaarkamp who were placed 3rd and 6th in Section A of the Novice class; and Libby Edwards and Laura Cocking who were placed 1st and 5th in Section A of the Intermediate class.

Many thanks also to all officials, volunteers, helpers etc. for ensuring that we had a splendid day and to the King family for making sure the infrastructure was so well presented and worked. Thanks also to all you competitors, your parents, branch officials, family and friends for taking part so cheerfully – despite the 1.2 mile trip to the XC course. We were glad to see you all and look forward to inviting you back to Somerford again – should we ever get the chance.
