Area 5 Triathlon Mold Oct 23rd

Yet another great day for the FnD Tetters at Mold Triathlon on the 23rd. There were 28 teams competing and FnD came 6th, 7th, 18th and 22nd.  We had some very young participants and a few first timers but they all did their very best and there were some outstanding achievements by individuals. The highest placed FnD team was Harriet Pownall Goodall, Helen Jones, Esyllt Dafydd and Leah Lamb.  Leah was 2nd (top shoot 920) in the Senior Girls and Harriet was 5th in the Junior Girls with a top swim medal in the class.  Helen Jones was 9th in the Junior girls with the top shoot medal. Esyllt was 9th in a very strong Mini Girls Class of 23.

Ella North was a huge surprise with a very good shoot, run and swim coming 4th in the Mini Girls. Well done Ella.

Casper Kissane came 4th in the Tadpole Boys with a top run (3min 40 secs !)  in the class but his shoot let him down.

Elliw Dafydd WON the Tadpole Girls class with the top shoot. Catrin Morgan came 10th in the same class.  Seren Walsh came an amazing 4th in that Class in her very first Triathlon with the top run and a very good shoot.

Alys Evans came 2nd in the Beanie girls and little Alana North came 6th.

Orla Kissane did brilliantly in the Junior Girls with the top run medal – a very fast time of 5m14 secs – and came 2nd.

Margaret Pownall Goodall entered the Senior Girls after a long break away and can’t wait for the next one !  She came 5th with an excellent swim.

Little Megan Evans had a go in the Beanie Biathlon with a broken arm and threw the bean bags with her left arm. There’s determination for you.

Well done All.

The next competition will be a Tetrathlon over two weekends.  Jan 15th will be an Arena Event in Kelsall and the points will be carried forward to the Triathlon in Mold on Jan 22nd.  M.E.G.
