EVENT BOOKINGS

Each week, to help you all, we publish by email and on the web a list of events for the next 3 or 4 weeks. The list of upcoming events is also always viewable here: https://fndponyclub.org.uk/events-list/

This is enough time for everyone to book their children onto their chosen events!

The committee are all volunteers and give up our time freely for the Branch. 

From the 1st of November, no places will be secured for any event unless payment is received. A request email does not secure a Booking. 

Please note that the closing dates of payments for events are usually 2 or 3 days prior to the event to give the organiser time to place riders in groups.  

Opening the payment system, moving and or changing payments from one event to another takes up a lot of the webmaster’s, organiser’s, and secretary’s time. 

Please be aware that you may not be the only member who has “forgotten” this time.

Introduction to Polocrosse – mini badge

There is polocrosse training on Sunday 19th November at Maelor, and between 12.30pm to 2.30pm, Flint & Denbigh members are welcome to join. There will also be the option to do the polocrosse mini badge.

 

Gold Award

Congratulations and Well Done to Erin & Belle for Gaining their Mini Gold Awards for achieving 14 Mini Badges.

 

Triathlon Report for 29th October

Flint and Denbigh were triumphant at the Area 5 Triathlon in Mold. We had 27 members forward put into 6 teams. There were 20 teams competing and Flint & Denbigh Blue team WON. They were Orla Kissane, Seren Walsh, Catrin Morgan and Zoe James (see picture). Full Results are online under Pony Club Results.

Individual achievements were many but notably:

  • Orla Kissane was 2nd in the Junior Girls with the top run and a shoot of 920.
  • Seren Walsh – WON the Tadpole girls with the top run and an amazing top swim by a long way.
  • Catrin Morgan – 2nd Tadpole Girls with the equal top FnD shoot again of 920.
  • Zoe James – 3rd Tadpole Girls.
  • Caspar Kissane – 3rd Mini Boys with the top run.
  • Tomos Bowen won the Biathlon Beanie Boys.
  • Ella North came 4th in the Mini Girls with an excellent run but her goggles came off in the swim which slowed her down.

There were a number of members having a go for the first time who all did very well.

Next Area 5 Triathlon to aim for is 14th January.

 

Spooky Rally at Ystrad

40 children had a spooky ride in the dark following the pumpkin light. The after party hot dogs and cake, disco and games was great fun. Thank you to the Hughes/Francis family and all who helped.
