Full report from the Pony Club JCB Championships 2022

The first weekend of the championship saw Lleucu and Macsen Newton ride as part of the Wales and Borders team. Both did incredibly well, Lleucu was 9th and Macsen 17th individually.

Our next tetrathlon competitors were Leah Lamb and Orla Kissane. Leah and Orla competed in the Junior girls tet, Leah was placed 27th with a personal best swim. This was Orla’s first time qualifying for champs and she ride her heart out.

The F&D Junior Girls polocrosse team of Daisy and Isabella Stone and Leia Lloyd Williams had an amazing championships, picking up the shield by winning the junior girls finals.

On the Tuesday we saw Georgia Hogan riding some fabulous rounds in the Mini Major competition.

Twm Cernyw, with his young horse Demira EM, rode a lovely test in the Open Novice to finish 3rd on a score of 71.67 %.

The intermediate Dressage Team of Faye Jones riding Monty, Amber Bellis on Poppy, and Summer Bellis riding her new pony Ferrari, made their journey to champs.  Their fourth member Poppy Dowber had to unfortunately withdraw at the last minute. All three girls rode super rounds with Amber Bellis and Marshbrook Poppy scoring an incredible 72.1% being placed 4th in their arena.

All our members who were competing at champs were a credit to our branch we applaud their dedication and hard work to be able to qualify for the championships.  Thank you to the parents for their support.

Regional Eventing Championships

Thea had a lovely time competing at the Pony Club Regional eventing championships at Eland Lodge yesterday. Survived the dressage (!) and had a double clear. Some unfortunate time faults XC (for going too fast) pushed them down the placings so they ended up 10th. It was lots of fun and a great experience.
