Class 4:

  • 3rd Eleri Reece Jones.

Class 5:

  • 2nd Jac Cernyw.

Well Done also to the F&D members who competed at Sir WW Wynn’s ODE on 25th July 2013.

Sophie Williams was 1st in Class 1 with Best Dressage in her section, on a score of 14.2

Steph Parsley and Ben Read were fourth in their respective sections in Class 2. Seren Parry was 7th.

Beginners One Day Event

Please find attached the schedule and entry forms for the beginners ODE being organised by Mary Evans on behalf of both Berwyn and Dee Pony Club and Vyrnwy Valley Riding Club.

The event is taking place on 24th August at Daywell Manor, Hengoed.

Money raised will be nominated to both charities of the Shropshire Air Ambulance, and The League of Friends of the Orthopaedic Hospital Gobowen.

The Pony Club Championships 2013

Excitement is building as The Pony Club Championships are nearly here! Hundreds of competitors from Branches and Centres will take part in the different Championships, which are spread across several venues throughout the country.

The Pony Club Championships – Cholmondeley Castle, Cheshire, 16th – 19th August

The Championships host the finals for Dressage, Show Jumping, Eventing, Polocrosse & Mounted Games. There is also the Horse & Pony Care Final, The Centre Equitation Competition & The Musical Ride. Spectators are welcome, there are trade stands to browse and entry is free of charge!

For the first time, this year The Pony Club Endurance Championships will take place alongside the main Championships.

NFU Mutual Novice Championships – Kelsall Hill, Cheshire, 24th – 25th August

The Pony Club Novice Championships host the finals for Dressage, Show Jumping & Eventing. They are kindly organised by the Cheshire Hunt North Branch of The Pony Club. Please see their website for more information.

Audi Polo Championships – Cowdray Park, Sussex, 9th – 11th August

Cowdray Park sees the Polo Sections of HX, SUR, HIP, LOR, REN, LAN, GAN compete for the Section honours.

The Jorrocks Polo Championships will take place at Hurtwood Park, Surrey on 7th August.

Tetrathlon Championships – Bishop Burton College, Yorkshire, 9th – 11th August

The Pony Club Tetrathlon Committee are pleased to announce that The Pony Club Tetrathlon Championships 2013 will this year be held at Bishop Burton College, Yorkshire.

See our Members compete across running, riding, swimming and shooting at Open and Intermediate levels.

NFU Mutual Pony Club Mentoring

NFU Mutual and Ariat Clothing kindly sponsor the Pony Club Mentoring Scheme where ex-Olympic and world class athletes work as mentors and role models.

The mentoring is designed to run alongside the active competition, and Mentors will be on hand for competitors at The Pony Club Championships for Show Jumping, Dressage and Eventing and also at The Pony Club Tetrathlon Championships.

Total Recall will be taking footage from the Open and Intermediate Eventing. Using multiple camera set-ups they aim to film every horse and rider over every fence, so you can watch your amazing day back on DVD!

Volunteers NEEDED (All help is appreciated)

We are looking for helpers at the Championships – particularly stewards and fence judges for the Cross Country on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th August. If anyone can help for either or both days, please contact Jenny Yates (02476 698305 / jenny@pcuk.org)

Fence Sponsorship

Our Fence Sponsorship allows your company to sponsor a fence on our challenging cross country course for the duration of The Championships, which will be viewed by competitors, spectators, volunteers and press photographers.
