Park Palace are looking for up to 4 ponies to loan over the summer holidays to be part of the ‘pop up’ summer scheme at Aintree Racecourse for 6 weeks

Park Palace are looking for up to 4 ponies to join them on loan over the summer holidays to be part of their ‘pop up’ summer scheme at Aintree Racecourse for 6 weeks. They are looking for ponies sized 12.1 – 14hh and who are good on lead rein. Ponies will be used for walk and trot lessons only, and riders will be no more than 8 stone. Last year they had 3 ponies join on loan over summer and the 6 week project allowed over 400 children to try riding for free.

The Aintree Racecourse project will provide children, who have never ridden before, with the opportunity to experience horse riding and pony care. The ponies will be stabled overnight in the racing stables and will be given 5* care by their experienced team. They are happy to answer any questions – please call Bridget on 07842 766937 with any queries and they can provide references.

Tetrathlon Results

CONGRATULATIONS to LEAH LAMB and ORLA KISSANE who both qualified  for the Tetrathlon Championships at the Area 5 competition last weekend at Mostyn.

Leah was placed 2nd (by only 24 points) with the top shoot of 940 and top swim of 8L 18m and a clear XC 1400.

Orla was 8th and had the top run of 5min 8 secs but unfortunately had one stop on the XC. She was riding 16.2hh Henry who thought he had been retired!!

Good Luck to them both at the Championships in Offchurch.

Well done to HARRIET GOODALL in the Novice girls after having a break from Tet.  She had the top shoot (900) in her class and a top swim of 8L 24m.  Harriet unfortunately came to grief at the 2second fence when the pony slipped and fell and was therefore eliminated.

Also well done to LLEUCU NEWTON who came 2nd in the Mini Girls class and HELEN JONES who came 4th in that class with the top shoot (940), top run (an unbelievable 3m 45sec) and top swim but had a few stops XC unfortunately.

MACSEN NEWTON did well to come 2nd in the Mini boys and we hope to see more of ESYLLT and ELLIW DAFYDD who were competing for the first time.

Thank you to the parents/coaches for their support enabling these members to participate in this wonderful sport.
