At the Winter Triathlon Championships held in Grantham on March 27th, five Pony Club Members represented Flint and Denbigh by qualifying and then competing against the “cream” of the UK. They were competing as Individuals but were also put into teams with members from other Branches in Area 5. There were 53 teams and Helen and Orla were in the 17th team.
Helen was a star by coming 10th out of 48 Mini Girls – she shot 920 and ran a 3 min 48sec run. An amazing achievement. Well done Helen!
Orla, Constance and Leah were in the Junior Girls class of 53. Leah did not run but shot 920 and swam 8.18 – a superb effort and a PB. Constance shot well 920 and swam 8 lengths. Orla had a shoot PB of 860 and a superb run of 5 min 29 sec.
Imogen was competing in the Senior Girls and although she shot, swam and ran well, she was not placed.
They must all be very proud of their achievements. Well done.

- June 12: Intro Dry Triathlon – show jumps, running and beanbags. Open to all ages.
- June 25/26th. Area 5 Tetrathlon in Mostyn. Qualifier for the Champs.
