Pony Club Xmas Meet
Members of the F&D branch have been invited to join the hunt for the children’s meet. Please contact Bethan or Louise for details.
Llanasa Christmas jumper rally
Llanasa district enjoyed a festive fun working rally at Northop. With Louise in her Christmas jumper adorned with flashing lights, to the riders all turned out in festive jumpers and sparkly tinsel, even one of Santa’s helpers turned up to ride.
Winter League Show Jumping
Another very cold early morning for the last winter league for 2021, but the kids always ride with fire in their hearts! Unfortunately we were only able to make one winter league team: that was class one with 3 members, so the pressure was on. The team came 4th, with Poppy Miller individual 2nd and Elsie Lynch individual 4th. Well done girls: two beautiful clear rounds with some impressive turns! Team 2nd for Summer Bellis on her 2nd ride in a mixed team.
With a very quick turnaround we moved on to class 2, 70cm, where our F&D non WL team consisting of only 3 members came an impressive team 3rd, with Summer Bellis getting individual 5th. Elsie on her new pony at her first ever competition did a foot perfect clear round. Lleucu Newton did an amazing round too with an unfortunate pole but came out with the biggest smile of the day! Well done all: give yourselves a big pat on the back.
In class 3 the 80cm we only had one member, Isobel Miller riding Frankie, but still managing to gain a placing for individual 4th. Well done Isobel.
Class 4 the 80 qualifier was super competitive. Amber Bellis managed to find herself qualifying with a 3rd place. Well done Amber!
It’s difficult to juggle shows this time of year with Xmas shopping etc. so hopefully January will be well supported and we can get teams for every class. Thanks to all the children and mums and dads that make the effort to support the winter league. Also get well soon from us all Constance Wright who I know would have been gutted having to pull out this weekend.
