An Evening with Georgia Wilson
Flint & Denbigh Hunt Branch of the Pony Club invite you to come along and meet Georgia Wilson, double Olympic Equestrian Bronze Medal Winner on Friday 29th October at Hafod in Trefnant.
Doors open 5.00pm so that you can view this fantastic new venue. Georgia Wilson talk at 6.30pm.
Bring your own chair. Refreshments will be available to buy. Please pay donation on entry at gate, have your cash ready.
Winter League Show Jumping Training and Development
Winter league training and Development training is at Hafod Equestrian this Sunday 10th October. There are a few spaces left so please contact Bethan Edwards (showjumping@fndponyclub.org.uk) by Wednesday evening to book a space. Development training is open to all who might not be ready for Winter League competitions, are working towards future Winter League competitions, or who just enjoy showjumping. Any age from cross poles/40cm and higher. There is also a showjumping and dressage competitions every other month at Hafod to give the children experience of competitions and gain league points and there will be a presentation in April 2022. Next dressage competition will be Sunday 24th October and Showjumping competition will be Saturday November 20th.
Arena Eventing competition, Sunday 17th October, Kelsall
Please look at the Area 5 website to get the latest information/schedule about Area 5 Arena Eventing qualification. The first preliminary competition is Oct 17th in Kelsall. Follow the link to enter. We are sharing competitions with Area 4 but will not be competing against them as far as qualification is concerned.
There will be 4 opportunities to Qualify for our Final on March 13th. Dates are Oct 17th, Nov 27th, Feb 6th and Feb 20th. From March 13th, you may Qualify for the Spring Festival on April 8th, 9th and 10th along with Dressage and Show Jumping.

AREA 5 LUNGE TRAINING
Please contact Meg if you would like Lunge Training on Sunday evenings (area5@pcuk.org). Venue depends on who applies. Lunge skills are always useful and C+ members are welcome but only B holders can do the test. You must attend two sessions before being allowed to sit the test.
ONLINE C+ TRAINING
C+ training will be offered online from the beginning of November. Please contact Meg if you would like to attend (area5@pcuk.org). You don’t have to be sitting the test to join us.
Winter League Show Jumping – Results
Well done to everyone who competed at East Cheshire Winter League competition at Somerford on Sunday. Well done to Eben Davies who was placed 1st in the Spring Festival 90cm class which means he’s qualified to the next round. Also well done to Eben and Iri Davies who were part of a mixed team in class 4 and were placed 2nd. Joshua was placed 5th individually in class 1a, he was one of the only 8 riders out of 32 riders that rode a clear round. There was some fantastic riding by our members but unfortunate poles meant no team placings.
Next Winter League competition will be November 14th at Southview.

Founding Member John Rees passes away
One of the original members of our branch John Rees sadly passed away on 28th September. His daughter, Lorna sent Bethan a copy of his D test certificate.
