CPD for instructors and coaches

Many Coaches now need to renew their CPD and there is an upcoming opportunity in Area 5:

“Learning through Fun for the under 10s” – Hafod Equestrian Centre, Trefnant, Denbigh LL16 4UN on Friday 22nd October at 6.30pm. £12. Bring a chair.

Our members seem to be getting younger every year as is the average age so we need to cater for their specific needs. Just because they are young does not mean they are easy to coach, far from it. The evening will emphasise the need for fun and will be delivered by two coaches who work with young children in their “Day Job”. Contact Meg on area5@pcuk.org.

QIPCO Race Day

We are delighted to invite you to join us at QIPCO British Champions Day on 16th October at Royal Ascot, to take part in all the fantastic activities on offer – not to mention the world class racing!

This year, we are working with QIPCO British Champions Series to offer racegoers the opportunity to ride an equicizer in the new Jockey School on the Bandstand Lawn and enjoy a bitseize lesson from a professional coach.

We are also pleased to invite members to a masterclass with professional jockeys, and former Pony Club members, Tom Marquand and Hollie Doyle at 11.30am. Learn how they ride a race and use an equicizer in their training regimes.

The Jockey Hub will also be open from 11.45am where you can meet a jockey and obtain an autograph.

Gates open at 10.30am with under 18s able to attend for free. All adults will need to have purchased a ticket to enter the racecourse. Free parking is available in car park 5A. This will be clearly sign-posted from Ascot High Street.
