Mounted Games Competition – Results

Flint & Denbigh spent a lovely weekend competing at North Warwickshire’s friendly competition on the Superarena at Dallas Burston Polo Club this weekend.

The Senior team of Twm Cernyw, Katie Davies, Cari Jones, Alex Owen and Ellie Richardson competed in two heats on the Sunday and unfortunately only made it into the C final. But then they rode their socks off, winning 7 of their 10 races, and finished in 1st place on 57 points.

The Junior team of Helen Jones, Lleucu and Macsen Newton, Abbie Richardson and Erin Wood struggled to keep up with some very fast junior teams in the heats, and despite not making many mistakes, finished in the B final. They had a few unexpected mistakes in the final, but also managed to pick up two 3rds and a 2nd. They finished in 5th place on 27 points, just 1 point behind 4th place.

Flint & Denbigh also had several members riding with other teams this weekend. Llinos Owen joined North Hereford Junior B team, and they finished in 3rd place in the B final. Emma Owen rode with Oakley Hunt West Senior B team who finished 5th the C final. Maisie Lester rode with North Hereford Senior team who finished 4th in the B final.

Emma and Maisie also rode in the Pairs competition but didn’t have a great weekend, with Emma struggling in the first session and Maisie’s pony falling onto her in the second session! Thankfuly all were OK and Katie was happy to fill in for Maisie in the final session.
