QIPCO British Champions Day and the Pony Club

The Horseracing Certificate at QIPCO British Champions Day is back! But this year it’s bigger and better than ever, with the addition of a new and exciting ‘Fan Zone in association with The Pony Club’.

Taking place at Ascot Racecourse on Saturday 15th October, this is a chance for members of the Pony Club to learn more about the exciting equestrian sport of horseracing, earn their ‘Horseracing Badge’ and enjoy a fun afternoon out with friends from the Pony Club and beyond.

What Does the Day Involve?

Starting from 10:30am you can go on a behind the scenes tour of one of the world’s most prestigious racecourses, including a visit to the paddock, a walk out onto the track and peek inside the weighing room. You will also get the chance to meet various racehorses and learn about the breed, go to Jockey School and have a bitesize lesson on one of the racehorse simulators and learn about the different tack used by the horses and jockeys on a raceday.

‘The Fan Zone’ will be jam-packed full of fun activities and competitions for you to take part in throughout the afternoon, as well as providing a base from which you can enjoy the racing. You will also be able to learn all about the ways that you can get involved in horseracing in the future.

You will also receive a QIPCO British Champions Day goody bag which will include British Champions Day Pony Club merchandise, as well as other treats.

How Do I Register?

To help estimate numbers attending the event, please register your interest here.

All under-18s are eligible for FREE entry to QIPCO British Champions Day when accompanied by an adult (up to four under-18s per adult). All adults will need to purchase their ticket here. Last year British Champions Day sold out, so we recommend you book your tickets early.

Once registered, you will receive an email with more information in the week beginning 10th October. We look forward to seeing you there!
