Winter League Show Jumping Results – East Cheshire

It was a lovely sunny day in Somerford Park on Sunday, and all Flint & Denbigh riders were turned out to our usual high standard.

Class 1, and our Winter League team of Orlagh Toner on Lucky Charm, Huw Jones on Oliver, Twm Cernyw on Tululah  and Leah Jones on Koda Dakota all had lovely clears in the first round, with Orlagh and Twm gaining fast but correct clears in the second round. Leah and Huw also rode well, each just clipping a pole in the second round, and we were very pleased with the team and their 5th placing (4th on the Winter League board).

Class 2, and again 4 super clears in the first round for our Winter League team: Sali Wyn-Wheway on Toosie, Ceri Jones on Charlie, Tegan Houston on Solitare and Beatrice Blockley on Splash. Sali and Tegan also had super fast but correct clears in the second  round, with Tegan gaining individual 4th, and Sali gaining individual 5th for their efforts. It wasn’t to be today for Ceri and Beatrice, but they both kept their heads and rode well for the team, with the team just missing out on the ribbons (5th on the Winter League scoreboard.)

Jac Cernyw and Gorgeous George also rode in a mixed team: George was back to his old self, with two double clears – nice and steady – and a mixed team 4th placing.

Class 3, and our Winter League team of Lilly Ann Pardoe on Harry, Catrin Evans on Upton Dell Diamond, Georgia Jones on Simba and Lois Roberts on Pat gained team 6th (5th on the Winter League board). Both Georgia and Catrin had lovely double clears, and Lilly Ann and Lois clear in the 2nd round.

Flint & Denbigh also had member in later classes but unfortunately we don’t know how you did! If you would like your results included in the update, please either let Aloma know (for Winter League only) or email newsletters@fndponyclub.org.uk. Photos also gratefully accepted!

Well done to you all, thank you East Cheshire for a lovely day and we look forward to the next competition on the 19th at Bryn Derw, Gwynedd.
