Please Note

I have had a few calls and emails lately from members using the Calendar on the website instead of the Fixture List.
The Fixture List has all the correct information. If you do not have your copy available it is under Newsletters on the F&D website.
The calendar is correct when the Fixure List is published, but therefore is only a snapshot of forthcoming events at the time of the current newsletters publication. Attempts will be made to keep it updated, but please check Iona’s Weekly or the News Section for any new events.
A new Fixture List, dates May – Sep, will be emailed out to you all soon, please print it off and keep it as a reference, as all the contact details you need are listed. If there are any changes they will be emailed out on the Weekly Update.

Rule Book Reminder

Could I please remind you all again to obtain the Rule Books for the Disciplines you are competing at.
You should know all the Rules BEFORE turning up at a competition. It can spoil your day if you are using incorrect tack or you are eliminated as you were not familiar with the correct rules.

Looking for Talented Equestrian Artists

The Pony Club and Society of Equestrian Artists (SEA) are looking for the next generation of talented equestrian artists!

In conjunction with the SEA, The Pony Club is encouraging its Members and volunteers to use their artistic skills to depict a favourite memory from their Pony Club experiences, and win the chance to have their artwork displayed as a part of an SEA exhibition in London in September.
There are three categories for entrants:

  • Ages 11 and under
  • Ages 12-16
  • Ages 17 and over (including volunteers)
  • So the artwork can be enjoyed by as many as possible, entrants are invited to submit their artwork electronically via the online portal at memories.pcuk.org, until July 1st when entries will close.
  • The entries will then be judged on a regional level and winners will receive a prize, and will then be required to frame their work so it can be displayed at The Pony Club Championships, August 16-19th 2013, for a final judging; those successful at the final judging will go forward to the SEA exhibition in London!

We are really looking forward to receiving entries, and seeing how they depict so many of the fantastic and varied experiences Members and volunteers have enjoyed as part of The Pony Club!
Entries are open now at memories.pcuk.org, where full rules and further advice for the competition can also be found.
