Please could parents make sure they fill in the correct camp form on the website!
i.e. Mini Camp 10 years & under (School Yr 5 & under)
Main Camp 10 – 16 yrs. (school yrs 6- 11)
Associates Camp at Somerford is for members aged 16 +

The survey is for the riding members to complete, but please ask your parents to assist you if you are younger but would like to have a go.
We hope to use the results to improve what the branch and more specifically your district can offer you as a member.

AREA HORSE TRIALS 2012
Dear Members,
Please find attached the schedule (2012.1 Cheshire Shield Schedule) and entry form for Area Horse Trials 2012. As a branch we are following a slightly different procedure for this year’s entries, please note below. Each class will run an Area Qualifier and non qualifier section, therefore all are invited to enter. After the closing date 18th June 2012, BE Accredited Trainer (Under 18 ‘s Coach) Richard Carruthers will assist to select members to ride in the Qualifier as a team member or individual, other members not selected will remain in the non qualifier section.
- Complete the attached entry form (2012.4 Cheshire Shield Entry Form PC & RC Final) ( 1 form per rider) and return before 18th June 2012, to Geoff Bell as stated on the form.
- The form requires a signature from Bethan or Iona. Please do not call on Bethan until after the bank holiday weekend as she has a family wedding. You could post to her with an envelope stamped ready for her to forward for you.
- If you need advice on the class to enter please email or telephone Louise or Katy.
- If you are selected to ride in the Qualifier as a team member or individual for Class 3, your entry will be reimbursed to you after the competition.
- If you have been selected to ride in the Qualifier section in Classes 1, 2 or 3 as a team member or individual you will be informed by email or telephone on or after the 25th June 2012.

F&DPC Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Celebration Family Fun Day on Tuesday 5th June at Plas Betws Caravan Park, Betws yn Rhos, starting at 11.00am
Bring your picnic and come along and enjoy a fun filled day, there will be a dog show, dog agility competition, hobby horse derby (no ponies required), bouncy castle, face painting, plus lots and lots of games and activities for all the family to enjoy.

Working Rally – Friday 1st June 2012
The above rally at the Celyn has been canceled due to lack of support.
The following rally on the 15th June still has spaces available, please send booking forms to Charlotte asap.
POLOCROSSE
Polocrosse training is being held at Northop college every Thursday evening for juniors and pony club from 6.30 till 8 pm.
Come along and have a go or join in with the more experienced group if you have played before. This is such a fun, and skilful team sport for boys and girls.

On the weekend of the 7th and 8th July we will be running a tournament at Mollington near Chester, which will be holding a Pony Club section and your chance to play other pony clubs.
The main Celyn tournament will be hosting games between UK U16 and the inbound Australian New South Wales team as well as all grades of club games and the UK U25 team will be playing in the A Grade just before flying out to South Africa to play. PONY CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP
We are looking for volunteers again this year at our new venue, and would be grateful if you could spare any time to help at this year’s competition. If you are able to help us, please could you confirm your availability and preferred job(s) on the attached form (Champ help form 2012) and return it to the address below.
There is a Championship timetable attached (Championships timetable 2012 (Final version)) for your information.

XC FENCE JUDGES NEEDED AT THE AREA 5 HORSE TRIALS at SOMERFORD on SUNDAY 1st JULY.
As in previous years, our principal need is for cross country fence judges and we are therefore again asking Area 5 Branches to “Adopt-a-Fence”.
The idea is that your branch would adopt one (or more!) fences by committing to provide fence judges for that fence throughout the day. You would be contributing to this prestigious Area event and would be able to advertise your own Branch at “your” fence by displaying banners or signs – in keeping with the type of event it is, of course – which promote your catchment area or Branch.
