Flint and Denbigh Pony Club Survey 2012

Flint and Denbigh Pony Club would like to find out about your experience within our branch, whether you are a new member or you have been a member for years! The survey is for the riding members to complete, but please ask your parents to assist you if you are younger but would like to have a go. We hope to use the results to improve what the branch and more specifically your district can offer you as a member.
Please follow the proceedure below to login and complete the members survey 2012.

The survey can be found by clicking on “members only” and then selecting “Protected: Survey”. The password for the survey is in the emailed “Iona’s Weekly Update”. If anyone has not received the update, needs the password or has any difficulty with the survey, please contact webmaster@fndponyclub.org.uk

Parents and Guardians

It is a great shame that some parents and guardians bringing members to rallies and other events do not respect the venues. We have recently been told that the branch is not welcomed by one proprietor due to the behaviour of some of the parents.

As a Branch we do not have much choice of indoor facilities so please ensure that you respect the property when attending pony club activities.

  • Arrive in plenty of time to get tacked up.
  • Drive in carefully and park tidily. Allowing other vehicles to get in or out.
  • Do not hang hay nets up outside your horse trailers or lorries.
  • Do not leave ponies tied up outside lorries/trailers unsupervised.
  • Members to be supervised when not taking part.
  • Parents not to enter the arena or ménage unless invited to do so by the instructor.
  • Pick up all pony droppings & litter from ménage & parking area.
  • Parents to help put equipment away when finished.
  • Close gates when leaving.

  • Senior Novice 1st
  • Juniors 4th
  • Junior Novice 1st

Well done to you all.

Message from Suzi Williams

I would like to thank everyone who supported my quest to ride for Team Great Britain in the International Mounted Games competition and Exchange. The trip and competition were incredible and I was extremely proud to represent the GB Pony Club, and Flint and Denbigh Pony Club, in Australia.

I could not have done it without the amazing help I received!

Take a look at the link for some photos!

Love Suzi Williams

Dress Code Again!!!

It is disappointing to hear again that the standard of turnout at the Working Rallies and Training Sessions is once again slipping. Despite sending this message last week we still have members turning up at Rallies and Training sessions incorrectly turned out!!! Why is that ?

Every member has received a copy of what they should wear, it is also on the website and has been sent out with the Weekly Update on numerous occasions.

I have once again attached (Copy of what to wear at rallies), please make sure you read it!

Black sweatshirts are for XC only. Red sweatshirts are for Rallies, Pony Club Ties must be worn and hairnets for any members with long hair.

All hats must be tagged.

Please Note, if you are riding XC at any Pony Club competition you must wear the Black Sweatshirt and a Red Hat cover. You DO NOT ride in your own colours.

Mini Road Rider Badge

Monday 14 May 5.30 -7pm (note changed times to accommodate smaller people!)

Any members who intend taking D or D+ this year and do not have the Road rider Badge need to attend this evening.

Many thanks … Chrissie

Therefore all forms and cheques for training at Dyfnog or Northop should be sent to Kathy at Mill Lodge, Ffordd Y Waen, Nannerch, CH7 5RX, and any queries concerning that training emailed to kathycumming@talktalk.net  Everything else to me!
