North Wales Police have received funding for a new alert system across North Wales. Horse Watch North Wales will be the first to use this new scheme. All members will be alerted of any equine crime in their area or in more serious cases across all counties. This will start in May. Anyone interested in this scheme e mail with your e mail address and in which county you and your equines live.

Flint and Denbigh Pony Club Polocrosse training and chukkas planned for this easter holiday has been changed from Bank Holiday Monday to Wednesday 11th April

It will be at Clwydfro, Rhewl – Debbie Millers from 11 am with training first. Bring some lunch and then we will do some fun chukkas.

Please email Jeanette@gwerydlakes.co.uk to book on. Cost £5 and numbers will be restricted.

NEW starters welcome, come and have a go and join our growing enthusiasts.

CEFN DISTRICT

Test Riding Day has been moved from 4th April to 13th April and with Sue Cottrell. Cost is still £10

For those of you who are not sure what a Test Ride is here is a brief description.

You will be allowed 15min to warm up before the test and then do your test in front of Tess (caller allowed). Tess will score the test and then give you a short lesson on how to improve your test and then you will do your test a second time. Hopefully 2nd test has a better score.

The tests you can choose from are on the main PC website and are as follows:

  • D level test,
  • Introductory Test 2007
  • Novice Test 2009
  • Intermediate Test 2009
  • Open Test 2008

Your horse does not need to be plaited for this and you can wear PC sweatshirt rather than tweed jacket. Whips are allowed but remember snaffle bits and no martingale.

When you book in please inform me which test you are doing. Jane Grindal at grindalfarmer@btinternet.com

Working Rallies at Ty Mawr on Monday nights start 23rd April. Still availability, if you would like a space, please download the booking form and send with a cheque.

I would like to have a rally for B level and above if we have enough names, that rally would be 7 until 8pm on the Monday.

Thanks … Jane Grindal
