WINTER LEAGUE SHOW JUMPING
Congratulations to all the members who have been competing in the winter league show jumping.
I think we are the first branch to win all four sections – Quite an achievement.
Chris Leahy must be very proud of your achievement, she has put in hours of her time organising the training & entering you all in teams for the competitions. I don’t think we realise how many hours she puts in. On behalf of all the members and their parents I would like to say THANK YOU.

Huge congratulations to the Flint and Denbigh Winter League show jumping teams for winning all four league classes this year. No other branch has achieved this in the past so well done all.
We couldn’t be beaten in classes 2 and 3 when we went to the final competition at Somerford on Saturday but still had to gain points to secure the Class 1 and 4 titles, which we did with ease. The final points are shown on the league table here. The secret to our winning success apart from the obvious talent among our riders and ponies and horses is the fact that we have some real team players in the F&D who have moved between classes for me and jumped strategically in the second round enabling us to secure the valuable points needed to head the leader board. A huge thank you to those members.
Also a huge thanks to Kathy Cumming who this year has been watching and advising the Class 1’s for me at competitions, her advice on choosing those teams has been invaluable. Thanks too to the parents who sit and laboriously take down the scores so that we can ride the jump off rounds strategically, mainly Ann Jones, but with help from Tegan’s granddad and Alex Cabb.

Katy and Louise would like to say a ‘Huge Thank You’ …
… to the demo-riders and their Parents who came to Northop for the UKCC Level 1. They all looked very smart and showed our visitors the high standard we set within the Branch. They were Jac Cernyw, Tegan Houston, Jack Hewitt, Zahara Bennett, LilyAnn Pardoe, Ceri Jones, Steph Parsley, Beatrice Blockley and Emily Cummings.

Pony Club Polocrosse Tournament
The United Pack (POLOCROSSE FLYER HERE) are holding a novice Polocrosse tournament on Sunday 27th May at The West Mid Showground, Shrewsbury.

It’s that time of year again – Fun Rides
We really need your help. Gate money and subscriptions alone no where near pay to keep the hounds during the year so I cannot stress enough how important Fund Raising events are.
Fun Rides are easy money. People come from all over and all we have to do is send them on their way. If you have been out with the hounds this season. Even is its only once please offer your services, to steward at one of the Rides. It need only be for half a day.
The alternative would be to either put up the price of a days hunting or to simply allot each person a duty. Neither of which we want to do.
