Pony Club Renewal Form 2012 is Attached (Renewal Form 2012) …

Your pony Club Membership & Insurance needed renewing BEFORE 1st January 2012.
You will not be allowed to attend ANY Pony Club Event, Hunt or Compete as you have not renewed your membership.
Can I ask you all to make sure you complete the Gift Aid slip at the bottom of the application form. I have received some with that section not filled in.
On a payment of £58 HQ are able to recover £14.50. You are entitled to sign the Declaration if you are an Income Tax payer or a Capital Gains Tax payer, and it will cost you absolutely nothing.

Please Note: All members need to attend at least 3 Rallies

A District Commissioner may at any time recommend to the Branch Committee that they end the membership of any Branch Member who, in their opinion, shows insufficient interest their Branch.

Any member Hunting with the Flint and Denbigh must have attended at least 3 working rallies, and if they are 14 years & over be working towards their Hunting Certificate. If they are not active members of the Flint and Denbigh Pony Club Branch they will be expected to pay the full amount for a days hunting.

Annual Conference Belfast 2012

This year The Pony Club’s Annual Conference is being held at Belfast Waterfront on Wednesday 7th March.

Instructors Conference

The 2012 Instructors Conferences will be led again by Yogi Breisner MBE FBHS, World Class Performance Manager and Chef d’Equipe to the British Eventing Team. The Training Committee are delighted to welcome Yogi back in the Olympic year, and to reflect this, Yogi will be delivering all four coaching sessions.

  • Monday 19th March – Myerscough College, Lancashire
  • Monday 26th March – Hartpury College, Gloucestershire

Both conferences will count as Pony Club Instructor CPD refreshers (accreditation).

Llysfaen District Working Dogs Badge

Unfortunately we have had to postpone the Working Dogs Achievement Badge which was planned for Saturday 21st January, we will aim to run this badge again during the summer months, when the ground is drier.

Llysfaen District AGM & End of Year Party

The date for Llysfaen AGM has now been changed to Wednesday 1st February, we will be holding it at Betws-Yn-Rhos Sports Pavilion starting 6.30pm until 8.30pm, please make every effort to come along and support, and bring a plate of party food with you to contribute to the buffet.

We are always looking for parents to become actively involved in our fixtures, if you would like to take a leading role in organising future PC events or just like to help out we would be grateful for any contribution you are able to offer.

Try B4U Buy Day Sat 3rd March at Maelor Equestrian Centre

Are you or any one you know looking for a new Horse or Pony, do you have one to sell or put out on Loan.

I am running another Try B4U Buy Day.

It costs £10 to book your Horse or Pony in. You will then have the chance of using the facilities to show your Horse or Pony at its best to viewers. If they like what they see, they can then approach you, and if you are happy for them to ride your Horse or Pony, use the facilities to try them out.

NFU Mutual National Quiz

The NFU National Quiz Final will be held at The Sports Hall (Suggett Centre), Warwickshire College, Moreton Morrell on Sunday 1st April, 2012.

The quiz will consist of 8 rounds and topics are as follows:

  • Round 1 – The Pony Club
  • Round 2 – Map Reading
  • Round 3 – Know Your Horse
  • Round 4 – Rider, Tack & Turnout for Different Disciplines
  • Round 5 – Practical Round (Individual)
  • Round 6 – Foot, Shoeing & Ailments (Pairs)
  • Round 7 – Equestrian Olympics & Paralympics
  • Round 8 – Picture Round.

Branch and Centre Teams must be made up of the following members:

  • 1 member any age under 12 on 1st January, 2012
  • 1 member any age under 14 on 1st January, 2012
  • 1 member any age under 16 on 1st January, 2012
  • 1 member any age under 21 on 1st January, 2012

The highest placed Branch and highest placed Centre from each Area will qualify for the National Final. Should the qualifying team be unable or not wish to attend, qualification may be passed down the line to the next team able to attend. Apart from the one team member who holds the AH test all other team members may hold up to and including the ‘B’ test.

Horse & Pony Care Competition.

  • Junior Team : 3 members. Ages to be 13 years & under on 1st Jan 2012. 1 member to be 11 years or under on 1st Jan 2012
  • Senior Team : 3 members age 14 – 21at 1st Jan 2012. 1 member to be 16 or under 1st Jan 2012.
