Just a note to the Cefn Branch Members – Can I remind you about the Christmas Raffle Tickets, please make every effort to sell your allocations. It is very much appreciated.

Llanasa District

With immediate effect Kate Thomas is longer able to continue with the organisation of the badges for the Llanasa Area. I would like to thank Kate on behalf of the Llanasa Area for all her help over past 8 months, and I would also like to thank Caroline Williams for taking over this role. Caroline should be contacted from now on for all badge matters in this area. Please note Caroline can be contacted on 07712 897801 or by email at williams134@btinternet.com

The Access to Endurance Badge on the 1st December is to be changed to the Fitness Achievement Badge which is one of the 6 badges required before the Access to Endurance can be taken. Caroline will endeavour to run all 6 badges over the next 12 months to give everyone a chance to achieve this badge. The badges required are Fitness Achievement, Care of the Foot, Countryside Access, First Aid Equine, First Aid Human, and Map Reading. Also you will be required to have ridden a minimum of 50km in endurance rides.

Please note that anyone wishing to do any badges or indeed having already reserved a place with Kate, should confirm that their place is reserved with Caroline, places will be limited to 15 members per badge so please book early.

Winter League Show Jumping

Winter League on October 24th at Southview was hosted by Sir WWW.

Class 1 Winter League Team did very well and came 3rd in the competition but were the highest placed Winter League team so got the full 6 points.

Class 2 Winter League Team won the class and our Non League Team  were 3rd!! Individually

  • Ffion Roberts and Frosty were 2nd and
  • Megan Goodey and Joe came 4th.

Fantastic result as this class was huge with 55 competitors.
In Class 3 our Non League Team  won and our Winter League Team were 4th , but 2nd in the league, and individually

  • Ffion Roberts and Phoenix were 2nd and
  • Alice Davies-Cooke and Bosco were 6th.

It wasn’t our day in Class 4 where we were 3rd Winter League and 6th Non League  but individually

  • Brier Leahy and Rosie Red picked up 2nd place.

Well done to everyone who took part and I look forward to seeing you all again at southview next Saturday.

Please Note Pony Club rule that each member & horse must complete three rallies to be in Teams

Winter League Dressage

Thank you to all F&D members who competed at our Winter League Dressage at Maelor on Sunday. Well Done to all the F&D members who have qualified through to the Area Competition. Sian Golding and Ant Woodbine in the Novice and Francesca Bradley, Phoebe Woodbine, Elin Charlton, & Michaela Regan in the Open. Full results can be read here.

Mounted Games Information

From 6th November, Mounted Games training will be open to all: novice and experienced riders. Juniors will be from 12.30pm to 2.15pm, and Seniors 2.15pm to 3.30pm. Please arrive at Ystrad promptly to ensure you can get as much training as possible! I would be very grateful if you could confirm your attendance, by phone, text or email.

Combined Club Show Jumping Competition

Dear all
I have attached a schedule for a competition (Bryn Derw SJ comp. 06.11.11) we have organised in conjunction with a local riders club. The competition is being held under British Riding Club rules which is why the DC has agreed to prize money that will be presented pending numbers of entries in each class.
