Fifteen finely tuned Flint and Denbigh athletes competed at the Triathlon in a beautiful venue – Wrekin College in wall to wall blue sky!!!
The entry was huge and there were a total of 24 teams competing. The quality was high and the “slightly creased” mature class provided plenty of entertainment.
The Flint and Denbigh members shot, swam and ran their socks off and did extremely well in such company. More than half of them came home with either a rosette or medal…
- Huw Jones received more than most – 3 medals and 2 rosettes !
- Orlagh Toner won the Pre mini class.
- Meg Goodey came 4th… Meg’s excellent swim deserves a special mention and
- Harriett Roberts 6th respectively in the Junior Girls.
- Georgia Webb came 4th in the Mini girls and
- Ceri Jones was 6th(she had a very good run score).
Ciara deserves a “Well done” for running non stop !
- Ben Read came 5th in the mini boys but Man-of-the-match was Elliot Goodey whose 3 scores were all 920 plus and he won the mini boys class.
- One of our 4 teams did brilliantly to come 3rd out of 24 teams. This team was Ben Read, Elliot Goodey, Huw Jones and Carys.
We had a great day and came home proud of ourselves. Well done everyone. Meg G
