Dear All …

Congratulations to all the Flint & Denbigh members that have qualified for the championships today at the area competition held at Dyfnog.

Everyone I saw was very well turned out and a credit to our branch.

Chris Leahy has done a fantastic job organising training with Jane Gough Robeerts, Lee Williams & Louise Shepherd, so THANK YOU to Chris and all the trainers for preparing all the F&D competitors so well.

The training has been going on throughout the year and takes a great deal of time & effort to organise.

I must also thank all parents, members  & friends of The Branch for all your time in helping to put on this competition. A lot of you turned up on Friday evening to set up the course. I had a fantastic group of parents, members and ex pony club members that helped out on the day, to supervise car parking, arena party, practice fence stewards, commentators, score board writters, the job list is never ending. But Thank you all as it made the day such a success.

I hope you all enjoyed the day and Good Luck to you in the Championships.

Chris’s Report of the Day …

A huge well done to all of you at the Area 5 SJ yesterday and wow, what a long day!!  You all jumped really well, I was very proud!  The standard was extremely  high so very well done to the individual class winners …

  • Lucy Roberts
  • Ant Woodbine
  • Hollie Blockley and
  • Sophie Toogood!

A clean sweep for F & D!

And also those who were placed,

  • Megan Woodcock and
  • Georgia Cabb.

We had one team qualify for the championships and that was in the open,

  • Sophie Toogood
  • Lucy Grindal
  • Manon Owen and
  • Aaron Wilkes

Our Intermediate team of Hollie, Oli PJ, Phoebe and Emma did very well to come 2nd.  The Novice teams were 3rd and 5th  and the Newcomers 3rd, 4th and 5th.  Fantastic results.

There will not be any SJ training now for a few weeks, I am having a rest, but it will start again in September so look out for the dates in readiness for the start of Winter League!!!

Once again … very well done!!!

Thanks …. Chris
