Plas yn Cefn, St Asaph, by kind permission of Sir Watkin Williams Wynn

Friday 28th, Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th July 2017

We are again holding Mini Camp which is open to any child from leading rein up to 10 years old and aims to give the children three fun days covering all aspects of riding.  Children aged eight and over are also welcome to sleep at camp with the choice of their ponies staying or returning home.

This year 10 year old children have the option of either attending Mini or Main Camp.

Should you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact Bethan Jones 07887722583

We request that all children have attended at least three rallies before attending Mini Camp. This enables the instructors to assess riding abilities and helps allocate children into the appropriate rides.

Tuesday 20th June at Neuadd Owen, Cefn at 19.00 pm

  • ENROLMENT NIGHT – This is an informal evening where parents and children get together and prepare for camp.  You will need to bring your riding hat if it has NOT been tagged.  You will have the chance discuss any aspects of camp that you need to.  Duties to be fine-tuned and the various people in charge of the roles will be on hand.  Iona usually brings her tack shop with her and there will be sweatshirts and manuals for sale.  Members may also bring along any second hand tack and equipment that they have to sell.
  • AGE LIMIT – Up to and including 10 years *School Yr 5 and below.
  • ATTENDANCE FEE –

  • POCKET MONEY AND VALUABLES – Please do not bring any valuables to camp – we cannot be held responsible for their safe keeping. Children may bring a small amount of money to spend at the Tuck Shop. We ask that parents do not to allow their children to bring any sweets and in particular fizzy drinks with them into camp. Any sweets or drinks found will be confiscated.
  • DRESS – Red Pony Club Sweatshirts, long sleeved shirt, cream/black jodhpurs and tie.  An effective body protector must be worn.  It is strongly advised that the body protector chosen should neither impede flexibility nor balance, it is compulsory for XC.

To help keep costs down we ask all parents to contribute to the snack food by bringing a contribution with them on the first day, i.e. crisps, cakes, biscuits
