Area 5 Triathlon Mold October 29th 2017

What a day was had by all.  There were 109 competitors making up 24 teams and representing 12 Branches some from out of Area 5. Flint and Denbigh had 4 young teams including some first timers. Casper Kissane and Macsen Newton came 4th and 5th in the Beanie Boys. Lleucu did very well in the Beanie Girls class coming 2nd out of 11. Huw Lynch came 5th/11 in the Intro Boys. AREA 5 – WINTER LEAGUE SJ RULES and OBJECTIVEs

Objective of the competition The objective is to provide a twice-monthly inter-branch show jumping competition for all Area 5 branches from October to March each year, referred to below as the “season”, in four jumping height classes, involving as many Area 5 members as possible and providing a framework to encourage a competitive spirit and continuous and consistent improvement in riding ability. Winter League – Anglesey and Aberconwy 2017

The first Winter League Show Jumping Competition of the season was held at Celt n Gael on Saturday 16th September 2017 and run by Anglesey and Aberconwy PC Branches. It was good to see regular and some new F&D members taking part in their first WL.  In Class 2 (60cm): Harry Wheway riding the speedy Wilma nipped into 2nd place, and hot on his heels was Eban Davies & Ben who came 3rd. Please be aware that we have had to make a slight change to the published schedule in order to achieve a balance of rider numbers between the two Arenas. Arena 1 will now start with Class 3 and Classes 4 to 7 will follow in numerical order. Arena 2 will now only accommodate Classes 1 & 2. The Highs & Lows of the Grassroots PC Champs  by Scarlett Owen I enjoyed every moment of Eland Lodge, from Day 1 right through to Day 4, even though there were many highs and lows. The drive down Friday afternoon was long and very tiring, it took us three hours and fifteen minutes to arrive, because of all the Bank Holiday traffic.
