Camp Duty Rota for Mini and Main Camp

Thank you to the parents that turned up to camp enrolment night and have volunteered to help. Parents of campers are needed to help run camp or pay the extra £75 for non helping.

If we don’t get more help for camp, camp will NOT happen or will only be a day camp.

If you have not already volunteered to help at camp, please let Bethan know which duty (kitchen, pony lines, nightwatch) and day(s) you are available. Everyone is expected to help set up and dismantle camp as well as doing duties during camp (dc@fndponyclub.org.uk). Setting up of camp will be on Thursday 21st July from 6.30pm.

Area Show Jumping

The Area Show Jumping was held at a beautiful venue at Little Budworth, Winsford, hosted by Cheshire Hunt South & Waen Y Llyn Branches of the Pony Club. This year there was a new Grassroots competition in which Flint & Denbigh only had Orlagh Toner competing. Orlagh had a few problems in the first round but went really well in the second round. The Novice team of Emily McParland, Emily O’Brien, Heidi Palin and Faye Jones were 2nd overall. Emily O’Brien also came 2nd individually and Heidi 4th. They have both qualified for the Championships. The Intermediate team of Catrin Evans, Sophie Wilson, Libby Edwards & Phoebie Woodbine were also 2nd. In the Open competition, Sophie Toogood finished 1st individually, Brier Leahy 2nd, and Lois Roberts 3rd. Together with Heidi O’Brien they were the open team and finished 1st. Congratulations and good luck at the Championships.

Thank you to Bethan Edwards, Chris Leahy, Louise Shepherd & Jane Gough Roberts for organising and training all the teams.

Hunt Relay

Flint & Denbigh Hunt Relay team of Jac Cernyw, Joe Owen, Millie Dalton and Leah Jones, competed at The Royal Cheshire Show on Tuesday in the Pony Club Hunt Relay. All riders rode brilliantly, but it wasn’t Flint & Denbigh’s day. They all enjoyed the day and hopefully get another chance next year.
