Pony Racing Day at Aintree

Millie Dalton, Sian Lind and Twm Cernyw from Flint & Denbigh Pony Club had a great day at Aintree Racecourse during the half term holiday. The morning session dealt with fitness, agility and learning how ride in a jockey position, and in the afternoon this was put into practice when all three were allowed to race along the gallops. The day was really well organised and great fun – thank you to Area 4 for organizing such a fantastic day.

Winter League Show Jumping Results – Sir WW Wynns

Another good day for Flint and Denbigh  in Class 2 at Sir Watkin Williams Wynn’s Winter league competition. The League team of Sali Wyn-Wheway, Lois Williams, Orlagh Toner and Carys Ann Roberts, finished round one on no faults; and picking up only 4 team faults with a fast pace in the second round brought them home in First Place.

The non-league team of Jennifer Fedrick, Efa Davies and Sali Wyn-Wheway all rode well but due to stiff competition didn’t get placed.  A great effort from both Jennifer in her Class 2 debut and to Sali for her Winter League debut on her new pony.

In the individual placing Carys Ann Roberts picked up 2nd in class and Orlagh Toner finished 4th.

Well done all looking forward to 7th November for Tanatside and Berwyn & Dee competition at Southview.
