Area Mounted Games

Well done to all the teams that competed at the Area competition in Caerwys on Sunday. They were all very well turned out and a credit to our Branch. The Senior A team (pictured) finished in 5th place and B team in 7th place. The Junior A team finished 3rd and the Junior B team finished 7th.

The weather was better than last year, but this time the seniors had to endure the rain and wind and it improved for the juniors in the afternoon.

Thanks to all the helpers and stewards who had to stand out in the rain all morning and the scorers and commentator in the commentary box, for making the competition a successful one; and to everyone who worked organising the competition and preparing the venue. Thank you also to Arwyn, Tina and Rachel for training the teams.

Good luck to the Junior A team who will hopefully get a wildcard for the Zone competition.

How to Place a Classified Ad on the Flint & Denbigh website

If you wish to place an classified advertisement on the Flint and Denbigh website you will require a username and password. If you are not already registered, you will need to email the Webmaster to request your username and password which will be emailed to you. Please double check your email address. Also please include your full address and telephone number. These are a required component of the classified system.

When you receive your registration confirmation email, you can then log in to the site, ideally via the classified link that will the take you to the page where you choose the type of advert and the length you wish it to run. Unless it is a “FREE” listing (ads will be checked and any not paid will not be listed) you will then be taken to PayPal where you can pay either using a credit or debit card or via a PayPal account! (There is a FREE annual business listing, reserved only for members that are exceptionally active in financially supporting the club by other means. Please enquire!)

You will then be returned to place your ad, where you can also upload up to 5 photos! Images should be a minimum size of 600×400 px and maximum of 1024×800 px with a minimum file size of 50 kb and maximum of 400kb. If that all sounds too complex, just try uploading your images and if they upload then they are ok. If not, email the Webmaster and he will endeavour to assist and upload them for you!

Any paid advertisement will also have a placement in the weekly newsletter for two weeks! (This needs to be requested by the advertiser as this component is not automated … yet!)
