Mounted Games Zone Competition

The junior mounted games team took part in Zone 2015 at Moreton Morell, Warwickshire on Saturday, competing in very hot conditions! The team was made up of Ellie Richardson, Jacob Edghill, Alex Owen, Twm Cernyw and Katie Davies.

There were 8 races in all and they made it into 5 finals, unfortunately missing out on qualifying for Pony Club Championships by 3 points. They finished 7th overall (14 teams took part) after winning a run off between 7th, 8th and 9th place.

All 5 rode brilliantly and were a credit to the Flint and Denbigh. Thank you to Tina Owen for all her hard work training them this season.

Flint & Denbigh Inter Hunt Relay Team

The Flint & Denbigh Hunt Pony Club had their first Inter Hunt relay team event of 2015 at Cheshire County Show last week. This was held in the Main Ring as one of the displays on the Tuesday of the show. Our team of Jac Cernyw & Gorgeous George, Sali Wyn-Wheway & Toosie, Lois Williams & Jim and Ffion Thomas & Bally Bee were all very smartly turned out and ready for the challenge ahead.

Inter Hunt Relay Team at Cheshire Show

The first round went exceptionally well, with some great passes and speed but correct riding by the riders, giving them a pass for the next round.

Again a fab round, and the semi-finals, and into the final against Sir WWW Pony Club team. They all rode well once again, but lost in the final, but a very credible 2nd in a strong competition, and being offered a ride at the Nantwich competition on 29th July was an exciting bonus for the team. Well done to you all.
