Congratulations Iona

Each year at the Annual Conference, which was held at Cheltenham Racecourse, The Pony Club make a very special presentation to celebrate the often unsung heroes of the Pony Club. Iona has been awarded The Secretary of The Year 2015.

  • Iona is Branch & membership secretary, Llandyrnog District secretary & Area 5 secretary.
  • She organises rallies, competitions, fun days etc. and helps me with the organising of camps.
  • Iona encourages our members to take part in new activities and to make the most of opportunities that pony club offers.
  • Her enthusiasm towards the Branch is amazing and she is always thinking of ideas to help run the branch.
  •  She runs a tack shop where all profit goes to help members with travelling costs if selected for teams etc.
  • Iona is conscientious, helpful, reliable and fair. She handles parents tactfully and I can turn to her for advice on difficult situations.

The Flint & Denbigh Hunt Branch is one of the largest in the UK, and is one of the friendliest and happiest Branches.
