Tack & Turnout

Please familiarise yourself with the tack and turnout guidelines and changes, always available from the website homepage under ‘sticky posts’.

The Pony Club will not be allowing hats which are only marked with the standard (BS)EN 1384 after 31 December 2015. The prefix ‘BS’ at the start of the EN 1384 standard does not mean the hat has undergone batch testing by the British Standards Institute and hats marked with (BS)EN 1384 and PAS 015 standards must also contain the BSI Kitemark. This is as stated in The Pony Club Yearbook.

Winter League Show Jumping Results – Aberconwy

It was a dry, but not so warm day at Maelor for the Aberconwy Winter League Show Jumping on Sunday.

Class 1, and our Winter League team of Leah Jones & Koda Dakota, Twm Cernyw & Tululah, Carys Ann Roberts & Travis and Orlagh Toner & Lucky Charm worked well as a team, three clears in the first round, and three in the second. They finished a pleasing 2nd as a team, both Leah & Twm riding double clears, Leah gaining individual 5th, and Twm just out of the ribbons.

We also had Amelia Clemence and Emily McParland riding in mixed teams, Amelia’s team gaining 5th, and Emily’s team gaining 6th.

Class 2, and not such a good day for our Winter League team of Sali Wyn-Wheway & Toosie, Lois Williams & Jim, Tegan Houston & Solitaire and Hermione Williams & Spike. With only Tegan & Hermione on double clears, the team gained 5th (but 3rd in League points). Hermione & Tegan rode double clears, with Hermione also gaining individual 6th.

Our second team of Zarah Bennet & Lola, Efa Celyn Davies & Jac Swift and Emily McParland & Charlie were not placed as a team but Emily was placed individual 3rd, with Efa also going double clear.

Class 3 and our team of Ffion Thomas & Bally Bee, Georgia Jones & Simba, Brier Leahy & Kellen and Harriet Williams & Flynn came home with team 4th, and individual 6th for Harriet.

Thank you once again to Mal Toner for keeping a very sharp eye on the results in both classes 1 & 2. He sat in the cold for nearly 5 hours jotting down each individual and team score for us, which once again was invaluable to the results.
