Message from Bethan Jones about Camp

Mini and Main camp are over for another year. We couldn’t have wished for better weather, despite the rain on the last day of main camp.

I hope that all the children enjoyed their time at camp and will enjoy the rest of the summer holiday riding their ponies. Over both camps 113 children attended.

I would like to say THANK YOU to all the parents, past and present, and grandparents that helped out. A great deal of help is needed to set up, run camp and dismantle camp. Some parents did more than others.

To the parents that came for the first time this year, I hope that you enjoyed being part of camp. Every volunteer played a vital part in making camp happen and hope that you come back next year.

Dates for camp may change next year, so hopefully more helpers will be able to come to set up.

Thank you from Welsh Air Ambulance

On behalf of Wales Air Ambulance, I would like to thank you very much for the kind donation of £33.00 gratefully received on Thursday 7th August 2014.

It is only through the support that we receive from the people of Wales that we are able to raise enough funds to keep us in the air over Wales and continue saving time and saving lives. We have come a long way since we started on St David’s day in 2001 and we now have 3 new generation helicopters that can be at any incident in Wales within 20 minutes.

The new EC-135 helicopters provide the latest airborne facilities, technology and medical care that ensure that Wales Air Ambulance maintains an excellent record of getting patients to hospital quickly and thus saving time and saving lives. The helicopters can land directly next to a patient, saving valuable time accessing areas a land ambulance cannot reach. It is the only aircraft that can land on a road or even a back garden.

We are continually grateful for the generosity and enthusiasm of the residents and visitors of Wales for donating their money, time and efforts to the charity. If you would like to find out more about the work of Wales Air Ambulance or would like us to come and give a talk or presentation to your work or social group then please visit our website at www.walesairambulance.com or contact your nearest fundraising office on 0844 85 84 999.

Thank you again for supporting Wales Air Ambulance.
