Demo Riders Needed
Demo riders needed on 20th June 5pm-7.30pm at Mostyn farm ride. They must be competent in the open and over small fences. Names to Katy ASAP (katy@hendrerwyddfarm.com)
Camp
Flu vaccination certificate: Anyone that didn’t attend the enrolment evening must send a scan/photocopy of their flu vac certificate to Bethan (bethan@jones-bros.com).
Stabling: The demand for stabling is more than what is available. Please could the members with ponies 14.2hh and under that have requested stabling for camp please get in touch with Bethan by email.
Helpers needed for the setting up of camp: Thursday evening (24th) from 6pm onwards, including someone to connect the water pipe. Please contact Bethan.
Mini Camp Rota: Volunteers still needed for mini camp. Please could the parents who were not at the enrolment evening let Bethan know which duties they intend doing. There are plenty of gaps on the rota.
Main Camp Rota: If you have not yet volunteered to do any duties at camp, please could you let Bethan know which slots you intend doing e.g nightwatch, meal times etc.
Plea for a pony: Victoria Pownall would greatly appreciate it if someone could lend one of her girls a pony for Mini Camp. Please contact her directly if you can help (victoriapownall@hotmail.com)
Camp T Shirts: Orders for Camp T Shirts need to be in by Friday 27th June. These are red T shirts with Pony Club logo on the front & all the names of members attending Mini camp or Main camp listed on the back, with Mini Camp or Main Camp 2014. They are not compulsory for camp, but lots of members like to buy them as a reminder of their camp attendance. If you would like to order a T shirt please email Iona (garethion@hotmail.com) the size and which camp (Main or Mini), then pop a cheque in the post made payable to ‘F&D Hunt Branch of the Pony Club’ and posted to Iona at Plas Dolben, Llangynhafal, Denbigh LL16 4LN. They are the from the same company as the red sweatshirts so the sizes should be similar: 24 & 26 are £7; 28/30/32 are £8; S/M/L are £10.
Please check your Tack is safe before Camp
- You should be able to put a finger either side of your foot when in the stirrup
- Check the stitching on stirrup leathers, reins, etc. is in tact
- Hats used for Pony Club activities must be tagged. Please contact Bethan or Iona to arrange this.

Pony Club Test Information
The Tests are:
- D (recommended age 8 years)
- D+ (recommended age 10 years)
- C (recommended age 11 years)
- C+ (recommended age 14 years)
- B (minimum age 15 years)
The Road Rider Mini Achievement Badge is a prerequisite before taking the D and D+ Test.
Before being awarded the C and C+ Test certificate, candidates must have trained for and passed:
- The Pony Club’s Road Rider Achievement Badge, or
- The Pony Club Road Rider Test (for members 12 years & over), or
- the BHS Riding and Road Safety Test
If you want to take any tests this year please ensure you have the correct Road Rider Badge or Test as it is disappointing not to be able to take a Test because you do not have the relevant Road Rider.
