Cheshire Hunt North One Day Event – Saturday 26th April
Cheshire Hunt North have extended the closing date for their ODE to Saturday 26th April. They have had very few PC entries so far.
The Pony Club SEA Art Competition 2014
The Pony Club have launched their annual Art Competition in association with the Society of Equestrian Artists. An email will be sent to current Members at 6.30pm tonight. Entries should be uploaded to the Art Competition website at http://memories.pcuk.org. Should you have any questions, please direct them to Marty Bibby at marty@pcuk.org.
Mounted Games Competition, Erddig – Results
Two senior teams and one junior team trekked over to Erddig on Easter weekend with ponies, caravans and tents, to camp over for our first 2-day competition of the season. Each age group competed in 3 sessions of heats which were scored, and they were then put into the A, B or C final for the final session.
The senior A team of Alex Major, Joe Owen, Charlotte Williams and Sophie Greaves had a mixed weekend. They finished in 8th place after the heats and qualified for the B final. After 3 races in the final, they were in last place, but turned it around in a few races to be joint 1st. A couple of mistakes in the penultimate race unfortunately cost them, and despite a great final race, they finished in 3rd place in the B final.
The senior B team of Daniel Evans, Lois Williams, Jasmine Massey and Eden Greaves only managed the C final, despite having some great results in their heats. They also finished in 3rd place in their final, and they’ll be doing lots of work on changeovers in training!
The junior team of Gwenan Roberts, Alex Owen, Katie Davies, Jacob Edghill and Ellie Richardson finished 2nd in the B final, only 3 points behind the winners, who dropped very few points. They were very happy about doing better than the senior teams!
Heledd Roberts also competed in the United Pack senior team, on a pony she had only ridden at training last week! She had a good weekend and the United Pack trainer was very grateful for her involvement.
