PC Membership Renewal Reminder

PC Renewal Form 2014

You have 7 days left to renew you Pony Club membership,( unless you are a new member who joined after 1st Sep 2013) this does not apply to you.

Thank you to all who have paid their membership and also to the members who have let me know that they will not be renewing this year.

If you are NOT renewing your membership with Pony Club, please let me know.

We had 273 members in F&D Hunt Branch of the Pony Club in 2013. I have still not heard from 56 of you.

Please Note: You will not be allowed at ANY Pony Club event or be able to Hunt with the F&D if you do not renew your membership, as you will not be covered with Insurance.

Could I also ask you to fill in the Gift Aid Section carefully. A high number of forms have included the postage in the amount, as stated on the form please enter the membership amount only, £61. £122 or £153. I have changed the amounts on all the incorrect forms but I don’t know if they will still be valid, because of the alteration.

Thank you … Iona

Winter League Show Jumping

It was a lovely Sunny day on Sunday, when we all gathered at Maelor for the Aberconwy Winter League Show Jumping Competition. All Flint & Denbigh riders were a credit to us, with ponies and riders looking their best.

Class 1 which had 11 teams entered  all rode well, with our WL team of Ceri Jones & Charlie, Sophie Williams & Norman, Seen Parry & Edward and Beatrice Blockley & Tick Toc all riding nice and steady in the first round. They all shone in the second round with clear rounds by all four, and the well deserved 1st position and rosettes and medals for all. Beatrice was also individual 3rd, and Ceri individual 5th with their fast and correct rounds.

Class 2 was just as busy with 12 teams entered.  We had 3 F&D teams, all was going well until Heidi &Supermodel tripped as they were landing after a filler with a bad fall for both pony and rider. A very brave Heidi left the arena with a smile on her face, and it wasn’t until later we discovered that in fact she has broken her collarbone and a bone in her upper arm. ( Get well soon Heidi from us all. ) The rest of the riders were in full concentration and the wl team again came home with 2nd prize. They were Sali wyn Wheway & Wilma, Tegan Houston & Solitaire, Lilly Ann Pardoe & Harry and Jac Cernyw & Gorgeous George.  Sali also gained individual 3rd, and Lilly Ann individual 4th  riding fast but correct second rounds.  The Snicker team of Lois Williams & Jim,  Efa Davies & Jack Swift, Ffion Thomas & Bally Bee and Elan Pierce & Tom also rode well and gained 6th team  place, well done girls.

Class 3 and Sophie Wilson & Inca rode a super double fast clear and also gained individual 1st place, and we had an Open mixed team with Brier Leahy & Echo Park and Nicki Grey Williams & Finlay in the winning team, with Brier in her first competition back on track gaining an individual 3rd.

Many of you helped with the score sheets , I’m not going to name anyone as I know they went around quite a few, but THANK YOU very much, as they helped us on our tactics for the second round, and to those riders again for agreeing to move around for the benefit of the teams.

With only 4 competitions left, Class 1 and 2 are only just in the lead, therefore we will need all riders ready and focused  for the next competition in Southview on February 1st.

We welcome anyone new who would like to try the Winter League to get in touch, dates are as follow.
