Camp 2013

A fun filled week, with mostly fine weather.

I hope that everyone has recovered from camp and that the ponies have had a well deserved day off.

I would like to thank all parents who volunteered to do duties at camp. It averages 10 hours duty per member to run camp -. Setting up, night watch, pony lines, cooking meals to name a few.

I would like to thank Michelle & Sharon and the army of parents that produced delicious meals for all of us.

I have really enjoyed looking at the many photographs on face book and it’s great to see that everyone seems to be enjoying themselves. The evening entertainment, which was organised by the districts, was enjoyed by all.

Activities ranged from – Ben Leece bringing his birds of prey , Mari Evans – taking the mini campers to do Forest Schools and toasting marshmallows, Jeremy bringing his hounds to visit, Bouncy Castles and bungee runs, Panda disco, and riding down to the river to mention a few.

The new cross country fences, (built in memory of Gwil Hughes) were jumped by all of the members at mini and main camp, with a mini one day event competition over them on the final day.

Hopefully you have all benefitted from the excellent instruction given.

The Young instructors that came to practice their coaching skills at mini camp had prepared fun activities for the younger members, and hopefully we shall be seeing them again instructing at our rallies etc.

Finally I would like to thank Sir Watkin & the local farmers for allowing us the use of their land for the week.

Lost Property from Camp

I have several items of clothing/coats/jackets left at camp.

None seem to have names in, which is very strange as all items at camp should be labeled!!

Please contact  me if you have lost any thing and I will check the box to see if it is there. If you have any items which do not belong to you, please let me have them so that we can try and get them back to their correct owners.

Camp t-shirts

Any members who did not order a camp T shirt  before camp, but would like to buy one, please let me know and I will try and re order some.

I will need a minimum number of 10 to re order, so please let me know if you would like a Mini or Main Camp T shirt and what size you would need.

Same sizing as Red Sweatshirts. 22, 24, 26, 28, 30 & 32 are £8
