Flint and Denbigh Combined Training – Report & Results

On Sunday 2^nd September 2012 we held a Combined Training Competition at Ystrad Farm, Denbigh, which was supported by F&D members as well as Aberconwy and East Cheshire Pony Club members. The day started off a little wet, but once the sun came out we soon dried up to enjoy the event.

There were four sections, catering for all abilities with each section judged as a combined event (Dressage & Show Jumping) as well as individual rosettes to fourth place for the best dressage and show jumping. All members and their ponies were turned out immaculately and there was a fantastic atmosphere throughout the day, with members and their parents enjoying the competition.

I would like to thank once again Mr Brookes for his continuing support towards the F&DPC and allowing us to use his land to hold our Combined Training event, and also to Iona and the Llysfaen Committee and family for preparing the event site and assisting in running the competition on the day.

A big thank you goes to Debbie Miller and her daughter Anna, for doing a brilliant job in judging the dressage sections and giving the entire competitors positive and constructive comments which they can work on and improve their test riding for next time.
