Mini & Main Camp

  • Thank you to all the parents that helped out at camp. Without these volunteers it would be very difficult to hold camp. I am very grateful to all the ‘night-watch’ men and women for doing this arduous job, especially to Jeff for being in charge of it.
  • The delicious meals that we were served was second to none. Thank you Jan, Michelle & Sharon and the kitchen teams.
  • Louise did a splendid task of informing instructors of where they were to be teaching and ensuring all the campers had a go at all the activities, quite a complicated time table to control with 10 rides.
  • Katy had organised visiting instructors and speakers for the older members which was enjoyed by the two top rides.
  • Evening entertainment is always a difficult slot, but everyone enjoyed Meg’s ‘agri-olympics’
  • Thank you also to Jeremy Reed for allowing the older members to ride out with him early one morning on hound exercise and for bringing the hounds to visit at mini camp.
  • Thank you also to Chris Saunders for coming to show us her working horse and allowing the members to put the harness on the horse.
  • Dave for teaching the ‘boxercise’, Mathew Davies & Vale Coaching Camp for bringing his bouncy castle and organising the games and also to Sam Major & Ben Reed for doing the disco.

Please could you email me with any ideas you may have for improving camp. I need suggestions as to what you may enjoy doing as evening entertainment, etc.

I also need someone who would be willing to take on the night watch next year, someone who would be prepared to oversee camp from 8pm – 8am.

Thanks … Bethan …  email: bethan@jones-bros.com

I would just like tosay that the Thank you messages, emails & texts are all very much appreciated.
Thank you to all the members who have taken the time to say how much they enjoyed camp. It makes it all worth while!!

Thanks … Iona
