For the third year running we were blessed with good weather for our Halloween Pony Party which this year was held at Plas Betws Caravan Park, Betws-yn-Rhos. John, Sian and Aloma had worked extremely hard setting the two scavenger hunt routes, preparing the BBQ and games.

Twenty children attended with or without their ponies, each brought with them a Pumpkin for the Pumpkin Competition, the table looked fantastic with all the different pumpkin designs on it, and the majority had even designed and carved their own. They dressed in their scariest Halloween costumes, Imogen Kissane & Ruffus her pony won the best fancy dress….they looked fantastic as ‘The Corpse Bride’, well done to Granny Glen & Aunty Beth, an amazing effort.

The afternoon started with the older children, who were escorted by Peter Owen riding Bruce on a 11/2 hour scavenger hunt around country lanes outside Betws-yn-Rhos, the younger children followed a route around John & Sian’s fields and woodland tracks, answering clues and collecting Halloween related items for their scavenger hunt. On arrival back, the children cared for their ponies and then headed to the barn to make a Witches Potion, enjoy a BBQ and finish the afternoon off with some team fun and games.

A fab day was had by all, a BIG THANK YOU goes out to John, Sian and Aloma for organising this event and also to Ceri and Alwyn for supplying us with the pumpkins for our bowling competition.

Thanks … Laura
