Pony Club Camp …

FLINT & DENBIGH PONY CLUB CAMP IS NOW FULL … we have a couple of spaces for MINI CAMP

What to wear for Pony Club …

When you first join F&D Pony Club and several times during the year a copy of “What To Wear at Rallies” is sent out to all members. It is also on our website. (I have again attached a copy)

I therefore can not understand why members are still attending  Rallies and Events incorrectly turned out, is the wording not clear?

If not, we need to know, so that it can be amended.

Black sweatshirts are for XC not Rallies. Pink, Purple or brightly coloured tops are not acceptable, these can be worn when riding at home  or with friends but not when attending Branch activities.

Your help & support would be appreciated.

Thanks … Iona

Polocrosse World Cup Event …

Olivia Miller is arranging a coach trip to the Polocrosse World Cup on Sunday 17th July.

This should work out at about £12 per head plus the approx. £12 entry into the World Cup event.

Bus will leave early morning (about 7am) and return late evening (about 10pm) on Sunday 17th July. Cannot confirm times until I know how many people will come.

Sunday is the finals day, the most exciting day of the event! It includes the Polocrosse World Cup Final, The International Challenge Final, The International Pony Club Polocrosse Final and the Play off for 3rd and 4th in the World Cup.

“Come and watch the most prestigious polocrosse event there is, the Polocrosse World Cup! The event will see the top 8 countries in the world battle it out for the ultimate title. Be amazed at the skill, speed and daring of both the horses and the riders in one of the most action packed and fastest paced equestrian sports!

Alongside the main attraction there will be displays and demos from other equestrian disciplines and various other acts, along with a shopping village of trade stands, food stands, a fully licensed bar and corporate hospitality marquees.

There will also be a Polocrosse International Challenge featuring other polocrosse playing European Nations, and an International Pony Club Polocrosse competition – with teams from England, Ireland, UK and USA. The full event promises an experience not to be missed for all horse, fun and sport lovers alike.”

For more information on the whole event please visit: www.polocrosse2011.com

Please email Olivia Miller oli-hoover@hotmail.co.uk before Tues 7th June if you are interested in joining them.

Charles Stanley Masters International Competition …

Hi,

From the 1st-3rd July Southview Equestrian Centre in Cheshire is holding the Charles Stanley Masters International Competition. This show is an opportunity to watch Britains best compete against riders from the rest of the world. Alongside many international classes, the show includes an Olympic 2012 qualifier, of which there is a limited number across the world and just three in Britain. Fences for this class will start at a massive 1.60m. The show is also playing host to the Junior European Viewing Trials which involves our junior riders competing 148cm (14.2hh) ponies around courses that can reach 1.50m in the jump off in a bid to be selected to represent Great Britain this year. This a truly unique opportunity to watch show jumping of the highest level in this country. We are also offering courewalks on Saturday and Sunday. On top of the knowledge gained watching top riders competing at the top of their game, these course walks provide the chance to pick up tips directly from the riders. They come at no extra cost on top of the usual ticket fee and will be in small groups around an international course with the likes of Nick Skelton, Robert Whitaker, Tim Stockdale and Geoff Billington. These course walks MUST be pre-booked and in order to express an interest please email bexalb@hotmail.co.uk More details and tickets for entry to the show can be found at www.southviewarena.com
We very much hope to see some of you there!

Please find attached details of a special offer for pony clubs. For every 10 tickets booked for the Saturday or Sunday of the Charles Stanley International Masters 1st-3rd July we will give you one free adult ticket and two concessions. On top of this, all tickets booked before the 19th June will be entered into a prize draw to win a ‘behind the scenes’ tour from an international rider. See page 3 and 4 of the attachment for more details!

Many thanks … Rebecca for Southview Equestrian Centre
