Nine F&DPC members wrapped up warm and headed off to Ty Du Farm, Glan Conwy one evening last week to learn all about Fire Safety and how fires can be prevented in stables and at home. A member from the local Fire Brigade, Gwawr Williams gave them a fantastic talk and demo and used her friend Sonia to model Fireman Sams outfit.

The children learnt all about what a fireman has to wear to protect him from the heat. Harriet even had a go at putting on the firemans balaclava. After the talk, hot drinks and biscuits were provided to warm everyone up before the quiz on Fire Safety.  Jac  and Seren  gave quick and confident answers demonstrating an excellet knowledge. All the children achieved their mini badge and also went home with a free goody bag from the Fire Brigade.

On behalf of the children I would like to say a big thank you to Nicky for letting us use Ty Du Farm as our venue and to Gwawr Williams for an excellent talk which the children throughly enjoyed and to Sonia and Emma for providing the hot drinks, chocolate fingers and light entertainment!
